Wrapping up Heavy Training This Week…

So I have been trying to get to this post for two days now. I broke my two day streak, but I’m getting better. Plus it’s getting to be holiday time which means I have NO time. So how have I been the last two days gone? Well, could be better, but definitely could be worse. I haven’t really been keeping to my eating habits like I should. I’ve been out three times this week for lunch, but I’m still doing well as far as budgeting and spending money. Raschelle, my fiancé, and I are cooking more and eating healthier. We are well on our way to saving for this wedding. Anyway, so that hasn’t been the shining moment and neither have my workouts, or schedule. I’ve done four workouts since I posted last. That’s an okay amount, but it could be so much better. Now, I’m not really saying that this is a bad thing because I’m just starting again; I have to build momentum into my workouts. However I need to take this seriously and the first thing that really needs to happen would be eating healthier, and then we can go for better workouts. All will come in due time.

As far as workouts are concerned, I have quite a few on tap. Wednesday night I had a swim, then I did some core work, and then, if that wasn’t enough, I went for a cold run. Here are the details on my swim.

Meters Drill Time On Time Off
Warm Up 1×25 0:27 0:30
1×50 1:04 0:47
1×75 1:31 1:05

3×25 Left Arm 0:27,0:28,0:29 0:18,0:16,0:30
3×25 Catch Up 0:27,0:30,0:29 0:17,0:14,0:32

Cool Down 2×50 0:55,0:54 0:33,0:35
1×25 0:26

Overall it was a good swim, and I’m becoming a little bit more consistent. After my swim I changed and headed upstairs to do some core work. I did the same two exercised as last time, and headed out for a quick run. Here are my stats.

It was a pretty quick run by myself and it felt great being out in the cold making it happen.

On Thursday I was planning on a weight day paired with a bike. I took the advice of Chatter and got the same video he talks about here. We several frustrating events happened and, when I finally could play the video, it was too late to start a workout. I made a plan to make Friday a three workout day. I would Bike in the morning before work, run during lunch, and swim/core after work. Here is the info from my ride this morning…

I still don’t have a speed number, but I did hear back from Timex and they said that I could ship the speed/cadence sensor back to them and they would fix it for just the cost of shipping. That pisses me off, but that’s another post. It was a good ride, and I could only do about half an hour but the video is pretty good from what I have seen so far. Chatter is right, it’s tough, but not too tough and it’s definitely motivation. I have found that it definitely takes a little while to wake up. I find that I have to keep stopping and get off the trainer because I forget to do something, like fill a water bottle or turn up/down the TV. Oh well, I’m going to call it a success. My lunch run was decent. Here is the data…

Still think I should be running faster, but it was a comfortable speed and as I’ve said before, I’m trying to ease into training again so it’s NO BIG DEAL! Anyway, until next time!
